I am currently within the last week of my first semester of my Masters of Digital Media program. After having a virtual meeting with some peers from Brock University, I reflected on the soft skills that the Interactive Arts and Science program provided me with.
One of the most important skills, for me, was the ability to give presentations. To provide an overview of the work completed and have the ability to communicate the success and failures within a project.
One example from my time at Brock is when we were required to present our portfolio to a team of industry experts in a Dragon’s Den-style panel. As I prepare to complete a similar assignment for a Masters Course (Ryerson, DG 8005, Interdisciplinary Innovation), I am confident in my abilities due to my experience.
